The new Micro finance TPO-UMVA has opened doors at 1er Novembre n°5072,(Imeuble BIZIS).
The Micro finance has new products and a strong relation to the international community of Burundi and the large fertilizer project of PAN-PNSEB.

Introduction to BUDDIMEF
An iniative of the Christian Children's Fund, supported by USAID and targeted at families of enrolled children in the target area of CCF in Senegal. (The target area has currently been enlarged to include other populations in the differents regions; the institution now includes 40 branches.)
The institution's main challenges include:

If you want an account from TPO-UMVA, just click here and sign up. To finish the registration, the MFI need a picture, address and ID info. As soon as the Identification is finished, the account is on line available. You can look at the balance, send and receive payments, send and receives messages, contact international users, receive international transfers on your account. Training
TPO offer for their members special training for FINANCIAL INCLUSION, the training comes with certification documents.
The basic training is all about finance, - a bank, - a loan, - saving, - financial planning, - set up small business, - insurance, - a computer, - internet, - email/messenger, - e-banking, - call by computer and many more. After this training members are able to do several actions in teh business center of TPO-UMVA al low cost, that will deliver large savings for them. They can work with a computer to call around the world for free, search the internet, basic financial administration for the business, send emails (in stead of letters), look at their bank account, transfer money, be able to train more with distance learning. The start of the implementation for the new computerized system started with the development of a training centre. Within the project we will develop the centre and deliver laptops, projector and other equipment for the training centre.

TPO will bring a quarterly newsletter for the members and subscribers to this service. By subscribing to this service you will also subscribe to other related newsletters.
During the project of financial inclusion we have different training moments, in the picture above we see the trainer during the very first training moment. Here we explain the existence of banks, cooperatives , bank accounts, the value of savings, the principle of loans, the benefits of a cooperative, the system of insurance etc. In this first training moment we also explain the process of the fertilizer distribution and the subsidy.
In our project we make use of new technology in the form of tablets and laptops, connected to the internet. In the 2nd training moment we test if the persons know the alphabet. Our trainer points at a letter at the keyboard and the students have to tell what letter that is. From the 4500 registrations, we only found 8 persons who did not know meaning of the letters.
In the next training moment, we ask the members to register themselves in UMVA, by typing their name on a laptop or tablet. In the above picture we see a lady typing her name on a tablet. Mostly this is the first time they touch a laptop or tablet. With some assistance they typed their name, when it show at the screen they are very satisfied. Within five minutes they write their names correctly, and very precise using new technology. Most people who can write have spent two years of training in writing. This is the advance of new technology.
